Day 1: Arrival in Amritsar
On your arrival in Amritsar, meet our representative and get transferred to the hotel. Later, freshen up and leave for Harmandir Sahib, popularly known as the Golden Temple. In the evening, you are free to spend the time at your leisure. You can try out Amritsari Naan which can be found in the local dhabas and restaurants. Overnight stay in hotel.
Day 2: Amritsar
After breakfast, visit Jallianwallah Bagh. This historical area is known for the massacre commissioned by General Dyer, during the British Rule. In the evening, visit Wagah border. The guard changing ceremony every evening in the India- Pakistan border is the highlight of the area. By late evening, you return to the hotel room for overnight stay.
Day 03: Amritsar – Dalhousie (205 Km / 5 hrs)
On the 3rd day, get transferred to Dalhousie, by road. En-route, admire the mesmerizing scenery, the cool breeze and the verdant greenery sprinkled all around. Upon arrival in Dalhousie, complete the check-in at the hotel. The rest of the day is at leisure. Explore the near-by locations on your own, taste the local renditions and more. Overnight stay in hotel.
Day 4: Dalhousie
The day, post breakfast is for half-day tour sightseeing. Dalhousie was founded by Lord Dalhousie in the second half of the 1800’s and so the place has been named after him. It is dotted with a number of attractions such as Satdhara Falls, Chamunda Devi Temple, Kalatop Sanctuary etc. The evening is at leisure. Overnight stay in hotel.
Day 5: Dalhousie – Khajjiar – Chamba – Dalhousie
Day 5 is scheduled for an excursion to Chamba and Khajjiar. Both these towns near Dalhousie are known for their lush landscape, floral meadows and tranquility. The list of attractions of the day includes Central Park- it offers a magnificent view of the entire hill town, Rang Mahal-one of the largest monuments of the region that is built in Mughal-British architecture, Khajjiar Lake and Bhuri Singh Museum-named after Chamba’s former king, it houses collection of miniature paintings, wooden carvings etc. If you are an adventure enthusiast, you can also try your hand at zorbing. Back to Dalhousie for overnight stay.
Day 06: Dalhousie to Dharamshala (90 Km / 3 hrs)
After having your breakfast, hit the road to leave for Dharamshala. This beautiful hill town surrounded by dense coniferous forest is a place where His Holiness, Dalai Lama lives in exile. Once you reach Dharamshala, move to the hotel. Later you can cover attractions like such as the Church of St. John, the Tibetan Medical Center, as well as the local monasteries of the region. The evening is free for visiting the local market of Dharamshala that has shops selling Tibetan carpets, wooden items, Handicrafts and much more. Shop for souvenirs from here. Overnight stay in hotel.
Day 07: Dharamshala
After Breakfast, today drive to local sightseeing including official residence of Dalai lama in Mcleodgunj, St John church, Monasteries & Bhagsunath temple, the oldest temple in Dharamshala. Dinner and overnight stay at hotel Dharamshala.
Day 08: Dharamshala – Amritsar Airport (200 Kms. / 3-4 Hrs.)
Transfer from Dalhousie to Amritsar by Surface. On arrival proceed towards airport to board Flight back to home.
